Webpages of secure websites begin with the https:// prefix, instead
of http://. You can direct visitors to a secure website using any
of the mydomain web features. What the visitors see and how they
can use the website will depend on the feature you choose.
Standard Website Redirection
With Standard Website Redirection, the visitor will be directed
to the secure website. The secure website will load normally and
the browser will show the true URL of the website including the
https://. Visitors will be able to access that site on the secure
server normally.
Stealth Website Redirection
With Stealth Website Redirection, the visitor will be directed
to the secure website but the website address will display in the
browser as http:// followed by your domain. The visitor will be
able to use the site on the secure server but it will not be apparent
to them because http:// will be displayed, rather than the https://
prefix.
IP Pointing
With IP Pointing, visitors will be directed to the IP address
that you enter for the website but it will not load securely unless
your domain matches the security certificate for the website. You
will need to update the security certificate associated with your
new domain for the page to function securely.
